How to Reach Wayanad

Travel Time: 5–6 hours

Best Route (via NH275 & NH766):

  • Bangalore → Mysore → Gundlupet → Bandipur → Sultan Bathery (Wayanad)

  • Plenty of food stops along the way (Mysore & Gundlupet)


🛑 Night travel note: Forest check-post between Bandipur and Wayanad is closed from 9 PM to 6 AM, so plan your trip accordingly.


By Bus

Several KSRTC (Kerala and Karnataka) and private buses run between Bangalore and Wayanad.

  • Types: Sleeper, Semi-Sleeper, AC, Non-AC
  • Departure: Usually in the evening from Bangalore (Majestic or Satellite Bus Stand)
